Communicable Disease and Immunization Public Health Nurse

This position is a part-time position, located in Gallatin City-County Health Department and performs duties that support the vision, mission and goals of the Department.  This position is responsible for providing a variety of professional and administrative nursing services for the health department to promote and maintain individual, group, and community health. This position implements the communicable disease program, including surveillance, follow-up of communicable diseases, public educations, data collection, training, compliance and assists with COVID-19 response. This position coordinates participation in community health activities and provides presentations on health topics. This position administers immunizations to clients. Contact with the public in health care situations involves exposure to illness and disease.  This position reports to the Communicable Disease and Immunization Program Manager and does not supervise other county personnel.

Environmental Health Specialist

Gallatin City-County Health Department seeks a detail-minded individual with demonstrated skills serving the public to join a team committed to overseeing fair, consistent, and customer-focused environmental public health duties.

This position is primarily responsible for investigating and inspecting establishments such as restaurants, mobile food vendors, and special events where food is served to the general public, hotels and motels, pools and spas, body art establishments, trailer courts and campgrounds, and regulatory inspections at schools and licensed childcare facilities. The position is also responsible for assisting in investigations of communicable disease complaints and other citizen complaints submitted to the health department. The individual should be able to respond quickly and efficiently to situations that arise during field work inspections and maintain inspection reports and documentation. The position will help licensed establishments through coaching establishment managers to prevent consecutive repeat violations.

Lead Behavioral Health Expert

Gallatin City-County Health Department is seeking an experienced professional to lead its efforts to provide behavioral health consultation with our team of public health professionals and to assist department leadership in community-level efforts to improve the behavioral health system in Gallatin County. Seeking a candidate with ability lead community systems change while also assisting public health nurses, social workers, and other staff to provide high-quality services for all our clients. This position performs duties that support the vision, mission and goals of the Department. This position is responsible for providing a variety of professional, administrative and organizational services for the purpose of promoting and maintaining individual, group and community health.  This position will also will provide leadership for/ coordinate all Mental Health Consultation (MHC) activities within Gallatin County. The Lead Behavioral Health Expert will work in close coordination and collaboration with community partner organizations. This position reports to the Human Services Director of the Health Department.
