If Your Symptoms Get Worse

If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19, get medical attention immediately. Please call 911 or go to your nearest Emergency Room.

Emergency warning signs may include:

  • trouble breathing
  • persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • new confusion or inability to arouse
  • bluish face or lips

Make sure to tell the dispatcher your symptoms so that responders are prepared.

If your symptoms continue or get worse, but it is not life threatening, contact your health care provider to get advice on treating your symptoms especially if you have underlying health concerns like high blood pressure or breathing problems.

If you do not have a primary health care provider, you can go to the nearest urgent care center.
